New England Worlds seem unavoidable. Every October since '99 I've driven down to Stage Fort Park and gotten my ass kicked (sometimes twice in two days) by a thundering herd of cyclocross. Every now and again I suck less than normal, and then there are years like this year in which I redlined the suck-o-meter. I shot it for the first time in '02 and the highlight was definitely '05 when the pros raced in a blizzard. When it's nice and sunny and warm I find it hard to get excited about the shooting, I prefer a bit more grit and bit fewer shadows. Feels more like 'cross. But I guess as long as I bring the cameras I need to take the pictures." />
