So I think I’ve finally sifted through the previous week’s images from Utah. By far the most fun was shooting a bunch of local Park City groms in the city park on the JibSkates. I remember doing jumps on my Nordic stuff the winter I lived in Norway, just hours spent in the driveway going off a little lump in the driveway. These skis are perfect for kids who like to do that and who are into bigger stuff. It was great to see them launching off rocks and various other features and doing ski grabs, 360s, and whatnot.
The bad news is that my ‘cross racing season is REALLY over. I was trying to get enough work together to hit the final World Cup in Hoogerheide and then the Worlds in Zeddam, but it just made no sense from a work perspective. Instead, I’m going out to NorCal (again) for two pro road team training camp shoots. I like shooting those camps because the controlled atmosphere allows for a lot of freedom and all the riders are pretty psyched about the upcoming season. They tend to get a bit of a world-weary look as the season goes on but even the most jaded racer looks perky in January.
