Frost meet pumpkin
Frost on the pumpkin for sure, especially yesterday. Which makes the above pictured shoes that much more welcome. Yarrow at Lake hooked me up with these amazing winter MTB shoes, if you have cold toes go out and buy yourself some of these. You will not be sorry. My ride yesterday was in 23 degree temps, and, yes, it was cold. But I wore the shoes and my feet were nice and toasty. However, at the top of the overlook climb I was spacing out and zipping up my jacket, just riding along, when a grouse flew out of the underbrush and distracted me for a moment. Wham! Front tire caught on a root, front wheel stopped, and I was in full surprise endo. Did my neck a bit but nothing too bad, just gave me a bad sleep last night.
On the work front, got a ton of image requests the last few days, and about half were for images that are 6 months old or older. You just never know. I suppose that’s why I have so many external HDs clogging the desk. Also nailed down a big assignment for February, now I just have to solidify the paperwork through the US Govt, but I don’t anticipate any issues. Needless to say it will be an epic trip and I aam definitely looking forward to it. A bunch of other stuff coming to the front burner now, so Nov is shaping up well. Due to get my first roll of XPan chromes back tomorrow and I can’t wait to see them. I’ll scan and post the good ones, providing there are any. First time with a non-SLR camera, so who knows how they’ll look.
