Okay, now I’m tired. here are the Elite Men battling the sand run in today’s Caster’s Grand Prix down in RI. Just got home from it. Great racing, the conditions were SKETCHY, compacted snow on a very twisty course. The shooting kinda stunk because it was dark and gloomy all day, pretty much no ambient light. But it was still really fun.
I got 42nd yesterday after a horrible first lap in which I was stopped and had my foot on the ground three times. I looked behind me at one point and there were only a handful of guys there. Time to ride. I felt kinda not so good but still passed a lot of people by the end. Then today they’d lost my registration so I think I got the last race #, back of the start again. I felt much better today and rode strong but was too tentative on the slippery stuff, still finished 35th though. I have a good start at Nats so who knows what could happen, top 40 would be great, top 50 acceptable. Time to sleep.
