Shot with Cloe at 7:30 this AM, and it was all of 18 degrees. She was a really good sport, but we both started to lose feeling in our fingertips after not too long. She had some time constraints so we didn’t have time to shoot once the sun got well above the trees, I forget how low the angle of the sun is in November. But I was really only looking for a couple shots and since we didn’t have wardrobe change it was no big deal shooting for only an hour. Above is one of the images.
I have some heavy writing to do before the end of the day tomorrow, but no big dramas there. Still haven’t decided which ‘cross tubulars to replace my TUFOs with. Tim Johnson, former U-23 worlds medallist, recommended I run the Michelin clinchers for Sunday’s race and they worked well. But there’s nothing like the feeling of nice tubies. The weather is supposed to absolutely suck tomorrow, making the outlook for Sunday’s race down in Putney not at all certain.
I’m scheduled to shoot with Cloe again on Saturday, maybe some more MTB and trail running. She seems game and I think the images could be really good. Ben goes under the knife down in Boston to try to fix his knee (again). He’s on the shelf for six weeks, which’ll be tough for him (and maybe harder for his wife) so let’s hope they finally fix that stupid cartilage and he can ride pain-free next summer.
