Remember that foliage shot from a few weeks ago? Well, this is what that tree looks like as of this afternoon. No leaves, a slate sky, and a nice 25 mph north wind in case you didn’t know it was late-fall.
Cutting straight to the chase, the less said about yesterday/last night the better. What a bummer. On the birght side, I got the 25th anniversary re-release of London Calling yesterday, which I am now convinced more than ever is the best album of all time. This must be my 10th copy of it since ’79. I remember that when it originally came out on tape it was double album and they tried to get it all on one cassette and the tapes kept snapping. I also remember in college when it was first released on CD and my friend Al drove 2 hours to Syracuse (or was it Rochester) to buy a copy. Anyway, London Calling is as good as ever and on a day when it looks like 53% of the US voting public has cement between their ears a little angry late-70s Clash just about does the trick.
Shooting tomorrow early AM with Cloe for some MTB images. We might also shoot on Sat afternoon but we’re supposed get snow in the higher elevations, which wouldn’t be all bad photo wise. I made my reservations for the December ‘cross nats/Boulder trip, should be pretty fun little jaunt. Training rider today was pretty chilly: booties, hat, warm gloves, thermal jacket, tights. The whole winter deal. It seems to take forever to get opened up when riding with so much gear on, but it’s only going to get worse from here on out to next May so whaddaya going to do?
