HRM RIP

Went for killer ride today out to Tunbridge. Ben and jamie caught me at the top of the Strafford climb as I was creeping and out of H2O. So we yakked and I rolled down to the T’Bridge house, down to the pond and jumped right in. Guess the seals on the HRM wore out at some point eh? Nice water bubble sloshing around in there. Feels so good to get out on the bike, ride pain-free, and enjoy getting some fitness back. I’ve been sleeping nearly 11 hrs a night since getting back from RAAM and I’m still pooped. At least I have really good coffee to keep me awake.

Big ups to D Zabriskie for snagging yellow yesterday. I interviewed him when I was at the 2002 Vuelta, the first thing I ever wrote for VN, and he was a strange cat, but refreshing change from the standard issue pro athlete. Not having a TV knda sucks right now, we’ll have to see how long this lasts.
